If I’m absolutely left with no choice and have to just eat one kind of food my whole life, I’m telling you, it would have to be Japanese food. Thank goodness Tokyo Tokyo comes up with all these new dishes, huh?
Like my preferences in fashion, mixing things up excite me. I’m not one to just stick to just one style genre, so what Tokyo Tokyo’s been doing lately, coming up with all these mash-up dishes combining one type of food to another, has really got my foodie self all giddy. Their latest release involves combining two favorites: the katsu and okonomiyaki. Sounds a bit weird, yes… but if weird means ultra-mega-excitedly-delicious, then yeah, it’s definitely weird.
Enter the latest dish in the katsu craze — the Chicken-nomiyaki. A generously-sized, juicy, and crunchy Big (like really big) Chicken Katsu topped with Tokyo Tokyo’s Okonomiyaki Japanese pancake, tonkatsu sauce, Japanese mayo, tempura crumbs and onion leeks for a superbly unique Japanese dining experience. Tokyo Tokyo’s Chicken-nomiyaki is big in size and definitely big in flavors.
You know what’s even better than a unique, yummy dish aside from it served in a gigantic serving? Choices. The people over at Tokyo Tokyo really thought this through and have a whole lot of choices as to how you want to enjoy their new dish.
You can opt for ala carte: 200 Php for a dish of Chicken-nomiyaki paired with a steaming bowl of rice (ehem, unlimited rice). If you feel like treating yourself or maybe you’re just really hungry, you can opt for option one or two. I personally want the set with the miso soup for the drizzly weather we’re having lately.
Sharing a meal with a friend? Tokyo Tokyo’s got you! You can opt for this set instead. Oh, you’re just really really really hungry? It’s fine, go for this set if you want. I won’t judge.
The Chicken-nomiyaki’s currently selling like (Japanese) pancakes at all Tokyo Tokyo restaurants. Try it and let me know what you think in the comments below!
