How about rewarding yourself (or perhaps your shopping buddy) after a day of slaving away in the mall, finding the perfect gift for your loved ones?
I don’t know about you guys, but Christmas is stressful just as it is a jolly and happy especially if you’re already adult-ing (like me hehehuhu). Finding the perfect gift for someone you love may sound super fun (and it is!) but we forget to factor in the changes that happen in the holiday season. What am I talking about? I’m talking about the insane traffic and the huge holiday crowd in the malls, which could turn an enjoyable task into such a draining activity.
I’ve personally been doing last minute shopping sessions and damn, shopping really did become my cardio. It’s hard to think about which gifts to get when you’re tired from thinking amidst crowded boutiques while lugging 10 paper bags. What did I do? I headed straight to Tokyo Tokyo for some mid-shopping reward slash quickie spoil-myself session.
And oh lucky me, Tokyo Tokyo has a brand new meal perfect for the holidays too! The Umami Pork Ribs (insert drooling emoji here).
Now I don’t really want to sound too technical with food but let me just visualize this yuletide meal for you – it’s a unique twist to your favorite barbecue ribs with tender and flavorful Japanese marinated pork ribs, cooked in a special Japanese grill, which brings out the extra flavor. It’s also drenched in Tokyo Tokyo’s rich signature teriyaki sauce sided with some vegetable misono and steaming unlimited rice. That sound good enough for you?
Best part? It’s only 280 pesos with some ice cold red tea, a bowl of miso soup and your choice of dessert (more moolah for gifts, yay!). If you’re on a diet though, you can order it ala carte for 225 pesos… but who goes on a diet on Christmas anyway?? I kid you not, it’s one of the best tasting ribs I’ve had! Even better than those really expensive ones from fanceh restaurants. And yes, I meant to say “fanceh”. After that filling meal, I felt good as new, I’m well rested, and I’m ready to pick gifts for my finicky dad. Double yay! What about you guys?
