A few months back, Laura’s Food Products Corporation, the distributor of Julie’s in the Philippines, launched an event at Your Local to announce a collaboration that would surely create smiles in every bite.
Perfect Food Manufacturing, Malaysia’s leading cookie manufacturer and the producer of Julie’s biscuits, and The Hershey Company, the producer of Hershey’s chocolate we all know and love have teamed up to create some new chocolate-y goodness kids would definitely sneak into their parent’s grocery cart (although I’m sure grown ups would love it as well, I mean, who doesn’t love Julie’s and Hershey’s?).
I arrived the scene with Kat Valdez and Cha Ocampo, being my first time at Your Local, I was impressed with the interior and vibe of the restaurant. I loved how everything looked so polished and clean from the white tiled wall to the leather quilted seats but yet it also had this industrial feel because of the bulb lighting with metal detail. The contrast worked so well in this place.
Other influencers were able to grace the launch as well. Namely David Guison, Michael Macalos, Kimi Juan, Jelito de Leon, Gabs Gibbs, and a lot more.

For this particular event, a special and exclusive menu was prepared by the crew of Your Local for the guests. Bear with me as I’m not very knowledgeable with culinary as I try to describe to you guys what we ate (I wasn’t able to get the name of each dish).
Our appetizer was this salmon dish drenched in coconut milk and veggies (told you guys I was bad with this haha). Aside from being very delicious, it also tasted very organic and healthy. I hope you guys can understand what I mean. I was delighted to know that this was just one out of the many dishes they’ll be serving for the night!
What made the night even better aside from the food and the excitement of Julie’s + Hershey’s new product (and the bite sized samples they were letting us try throughout the night) was that we were with great company. Everyone had a great time chatting and catching up with fellow influencers and friends.

Your local was jam-packed with people, all ecstatic about the new product and the food.

If the dining area was bustling that night, you could imagine what was happening inside the kitchen as the talented crew meticulously prepares the yummy food for the guests.
For the main dish, Wagyu beef (oooooh mmmm mmm) with risotto, egg, with some green and white sauce and veggies was served. It was heavenly and again, I felt like every bite wouldn’t add up to my leg’s plumpness.
Finally, desert came. What’s a Hershey’s event without a Hershey’s dish to cap off the night, yes? I think these are chocolate balls with a hint of peanut butter coated with white chocolate perhaps (???) and drizzled with some matcha powder. Nom indeed!
Mr. Martin Ang, Director of Perfect Food Manufacturing, Malaysia said a few words before wrapping up the event: “We are thrilled about or new partnership with The Hershey Company. As all our media partners are aware, we’re the single largest biscuit exporter in Malaysia, we have expanded our presence to more than 70 countries across South East Asia, Asia Pacific, Africa, America, and the Middle East regions. Baked with love, Julie’s always has our consumer at heart and we are loved for our unique and high quality biscuit range. They Hershey Company is a global confectionery leader known for bringing goodness to the world through their chocolate, sweets, mints, and other great-tasting snacks. So now, these two great brands from two separate continents have come together to deliver sensational, mind-blowing, and delicious ideas to life. Our tagline for this collaboration is “Smiles in every bite.” Both Julie’s and Hershey’s have been built on the same ideas and core values which I believe is the foundation that sealed our partnership.
Our launch marks the successful beginning of Julie’s and Hershey’s exciting new venture. Julie’s bakes high quality cookie range with safety and hygiene, the 6 different variants carry its own distinct flavour as they are all baked with love and filled with smiles. The Julie’s Hershey’s cookies line will be available in 12 countries which are Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Mongolia, and Laos.”
Mr. Nino Paulo R. Martinez, Vice President of Laura’s Food Products Corporation also addressed the guest that night, “It is an honor for our corporation to be the exclusive distributor of Julie’s Hershey’s cookies, as both brands are synonymous to high quality and value for consumers. Filipinos will be delighted to bite into these delectable snacks that have been baked with meticulous care and have passed through stringent quality measures to ensure that each Julie’s Hershey’s box that makes its way to Filipino households is a delicious experience for every family member.”
It’s true, after devouring all the cookies I brought home after the event, I purchased all the available variants again for my family and I to enjoy. My brothers enjoyed it especially and would even bring it as baon for school.
The Julie’s Hershey’s cookies line are available in 6 variants, 2 of which I was not able to purchase: chocolate chip oat cookies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip hazelnut cookies, chocolate fudge vanilla flavoured cookies, chocolate waffles, and my all time favorite: the chocolate fudge cookies. Even the cookie design looks so Christmas-y!
The Julie’s Hershey’s cookies are available P125 per box in all major hypermarket and supermarket stores. Maybe you should leave some for Santa this Christmas? ;)
